Beautiful Salt Cay
About the island:
2 1/2 square miles of peace and quiet. With a population of about eighty souls Salt Cay is that quiet kind of island that eludes most travelers. The small harbor is the hub of most activity as the boat to and from Grand Turk arrives, local fisherman clean their catches or the dive boats come and go.
Within 100 yards of the harbor are the local meeting hall, dive shop and two restaurants.
A few small shops on the island provide some staples while other provisions are shopped for on Grand Turk, eight miles away.
Split into North and South districts with the historic "salinas" taking up much of the middle, Salt Cay is best seen on foot, by bicycle or motor cart.
A small population of ex-pats with homes on Salt Cay occasionally swell the island head count, especially in the winter months.
All rooms of the home are fully furnished and outdoor furniture is included.
There is a plasma screen with Blue-Ray, surround sound
and I-pod dock.
The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils and dishes. There are bed linens and bath and beach towels.
